Dan from TPYF here. Thanks very much for your kind message - it was genuinely a pleasure and we are so glad that you all enjoyed it, as we did also. Am pleased that you liked Japan so much that you want to go back - awesome. I feel the same way. And all this with no jet-lag!! Lucky you. I'm fighting it but do keep having spells of completely not being with it at all (which is good when you are back at work!).

Anyway, you are more than welcome and I do hope you have a good rest of the summer. Looking forward to catching up with you in October.

Hi Laura,
We are really enjoying reading and watching you all as you experience Japan. It sounds like the memorial service didn't really live up to people's expectations and for Japan to achieve it's goal of world peace there is sadly still a very long way to go, but at least they are trying. Hope you were able to get some sleep after your very long and hot day - it's a cool 16oC here in Canada !!

Sorry to hear the Memorial service did not live up to your expectations. I agree that for a peace ceremony, you should not have been made to feel like 'outsiders', still it sounds as if the Lanterns made up for your disappointment.
Grandad was pleased to hear about the Bullet train and can't wait to talk to you about it!!
Millie is wearing us all out and can't wait to meet you.

Hi Laura and all of the College Japan Group-

Just read your latest blog (18/7/08) and as a History graduate want to know what's wrong with Historians? You seem pleased that the final 24 going to Japan are not all Historians - Mr Bell, Mr McHugh, Mr Rogers and myself should be proof enough that Historian are fun and entertaining.

The website is looking fantastic and I hope you and all the students have the trip of a lifetime this August. I will be looking at the website and keeping up to date with your progress. Have a great summer
