The Amazing Gadget Guys!!

5 months ago by michellea
I met the Gadget Guys from Inverkeithing High School today and I was overwhelmed by their energy and talents.  Jack and Lewis are 1st Year pupils at the school and have only been producing their gadget reviews since December07 but their skills are amazing and their understanding of technology is overwhelming.  They had a liitle help from Euan who is no longer a pupil but still has some input into their reviews.

They were kind enough to give me their Gadget Brief which even contains an impressive Mission Statement:

"To expand our knowledge and experience in the areas of media boradcasting and production.  To have fun, and earn recognition for deploying our skills and talents in a manner constructive and beneficial to society."

They are sending me a copy of their brief in PDF format so will publish it to the Radiowaves site soon for you all to have a look at their experiences.  They are very keen to work with pupils in the primaries that feed into their High School which is fantastic and we at Radiowaves will help them in doing this!

Finally, the Gadget Guys are going to start reviewing products for our new Review network coming soon so look out for more interesting and exciting reports from the Gadget Guys..............

New Look - Fife FM

7 months ago by michellea
Hi Everyone
You might notice a few changes to the Fife network. We have been busy whilst you have been on your Easter holidays and have changed the logo and also added:
  • Michelle's Page - this is where I publish stories to keep you updated with what's happening in Fife, it's also a great way for you to communicate with me!
  • Top Reporter - I will be keeping an eye on you all and if I think you're doing a great job, will make you a 'Top Reporter'.
  • Top Station - If your station is having a busy month and you have produced some great stories, I will make your station, 'Top Station'.
  • Topic of The Month - this is a new feature for Radiowaves and each month we will be changing the topic. This months topic is National Pet Month, if you create a National Pet Month story it might get featured on the Radiowaves Homepage.
  • You will also notice other adverts on the network page, click on them to find out what other schools are up to and how you can get involved.
Click on all of these new links and let me know what you think!

11 months ago by michellea
Hi All
Welcome to the exciting new Fife network, I hope you will find it useful as its a great way for all schools in Fife to communicate with each other and also for the Radiowaves team to communicate with you.
Options now available:
When submitting stories, you can now nominate a story to appear on this Network page aswell as your own Station page.
Kingdom FM entries can be submitted by creating a story in the normal way and then selecting under 'Network' the 'Kingdom FM Comp' and then we will recieve your final entry!
I will keep you updated with everything but in the meantime please feel free to leave comments.
thanks
Michelle
