Caitlin is a Year 7 pupil with severe visual difficulties. We talk to her about the measures the school is taking to help her.
Since arriving at our school in September, Caitlin has experienced some problems getting around due to her visual difficulties. These problems include tripping up and not being able to find her friends.
As part of the Every Child Matters initiative, the school is putting some measures in place to help Caitlin, and make school life easier for her. Putting down yellow markings in certain places is just one of the ways that Rushcliffe School is trying to improve things for Caitlin.
Caitlin went around the school, deciding where the improvements needed to happen in order to benefit her most.
