Good stuff, here. Sir Ken is a man with his head screwed on right about a lot of things. What a pity there aren't more people like him making decisions about the future of education! Well done to you folks for managing to land this interview with him.

Thank you for making this interview. I saw a video of Sir Ken at TED, searched the net for more information and found your interview. I agree with everything he said - it's actually what I've also thought by myself, but I didn't publish a book about it. I'm glad someone did it, because I also feel that there must be a change. I'm a teacher in a school in Germany, and kids here have the same problems as kids everywhere else: The education system is demanding a very special type of ability and neglecting everything else. Of course people became aware of that and tried to change this and that, but I do agree with Sir Ken, that all these attempts were like enhancing steam machine to fullfill the needs of the 21th century.

An old girl from St Julie's here - or Notre Dame as it was when I left in 1981. Well done for such a great interview! I hope Sir Ken has inspired you. He is one of those wonderful cutting-edge scousers who make Liverpool the great place it is. As a teacher I totally endorse what he says and try to encourage creativity in my classroom.
