Darren Sheridan says...
On 15th Febuary 2008 Darren Sheridan popped into L.C.C.C. to give us the low down on his football career. He was nice enough to let us ask him some questions. He also gave us an insight to his personal life aswell.
Suprisingly, ME, Sam, was picked to go first! I was nervous as this was my first ever interview and I couldn't get my words out! Yet, I introduced myself to Darren and he seemed a really nice guy. We asked him about his great football career and how he started with Leeds as a trainee at a young age. He described how he was hertbroken by getting released and how he gave up on football by thinking he wasn't good enough. He started to forget about football and continue working outside sport. However, at the age of 26, he was gave a second chance at Barnsley F.C. where he was part of the team that led them into the Premiership.
All of the reporter team got to ask him some questions and he helped out some of us who were nervous. He gave some really good answers and was very gracious towards all of the reporters. All the reporters were very happy and I am sure the feeling was mutual with Darren.
