Find out what its like to be a Radio presenter
After watching the Lunchtime news from the gallery I ran down the stairs to be greeted (almost) by Heather Stott. I approched her as if she was going to eat me because she was so famous (to me!) but she was really friendly and down to earth!
She told me that she did a degree in Journalism and then was paid by the BBC to do another degree in Meteorology. She worked in Cumbria and then in the North East, before coming to Manchester.
She enjoys doing the weather because she has to dress up, and really enjoys interviewing her guests on the Coffee Morning. She recommends that I get my qualifications and a higher education degree, then get work experience placement and be patient to get on the Radio.
