Chelmsford visit Brooklands
On Sunday the 17th February, Brooklands took on Chelmsford at George's Road. The visitors, Chelmsford had been beaten in Essex 2 weeks ago, by Brooklands 4-0. Brooklands were hoping to do the double over the Essex side before a trip to Belper and then a top of the table clash, against Old Loughtonians at George's Road.

Peter Flanagan scored his second hat trick of the season to keep Brooklands flying high in the First division of the Slazenger England Hockey League.
Brooklands, despite beating Chelsmford 4-0, in Essex, were in early trouble and at one point they were down by three goals to one. Peter Flanagan however scored from three consecutive penalty corners, to see his team through to a 4-3 win that keeps Brooklands in joint second place just one point behind Southgate the leaders.
Martin Scanlon scored the other goal for Brooklands carrying on his form from his visit to Dublin witn the England U-18 squad. Brooklands were well represented in Ireland, with Henry Weir, Pete Jackson and goalkeeper Tom Marshall.
Brooklands play at Belper on Sunday24th before a crucial home game against promotion rivals Old Loughtonians.
