Brooklands welcome Old Georgians to Georges Road

Brooklands Manchester University crashed to a 1-5 defeat at home to Old Georgians.
The home side from the start were off to a shaky start with the visitors having a number of opportunities early on. The deadlock was broken on 21 minutes by Sven Tegeler from open play as he slottedn the ball past Lee Ible in the Brooklands Goal. Exactly ten minutes after half time, Patrick Kelly put the visitors two infront with a very lucky deflection.
Only two minutes later the visitors won a penalty which would be converted by Gareth Carr. He went onto score twice again in the space of fifteen minutes, which put the Georgians 5-0 infront.
Eighteen year old Henry Weir grabbed a consolation five minutes before half time, however this was the only highlight of the day for the home team.
This heavy loss has affected Brooklands chase for promotion and they will now have to win the remainder of their games this season to ensure promotion to the Premier League.
