Have you seen the oscar winning, three part film of peter and the wolf. if you haven't, then you definitely should. If you have then watch it again!
Did you watch the oscars this year? I didn't but apparently the winner of the Best Short Film (animated) was Peter and the Wolf. Have you ever heard the famous piece of classical music, Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf? Well, you should, it's really good, and it is this music that the film Peter and the Wolf in based upon. The film is very cleverly done and is superbly animated. The music itself is a beautiful piece, with each character represented by a different instrument (Peter - all the strings, the bird - flute, the duck - oboe, the cat - clarinet, the grandfather - bassoon, the wolf - the horns, the hunters - the woodwinds, the hunters' rifles (not characters!) - timpani). I love this piece of music and the film shows a brilliant retelling with an unexpected end. you really should watch it. It's quite short, though is in three separate parts which are each just under 10 minutes long. I think it's a fantastic film. The link displayed here is a link to the first part of the film, shown on Youtube. from this website you can access the other two parts easily. Please watch it and let me know via the comment box at the bottom what you think of it.
