A man who was standing against Robert Mugabe, the President of Zimbabwe, has pulled out of an election that was due to take place on the 27th of July (Friday).
Morgan Tsvangirai said that he could not ask people to vote for him if they we're going to be killed for doing so.
Mr Tsvangirai is the head of a democratic group called the Movement for Democratic Change in Zimbabwe. President Robert Mugabe said that he would go to war to stop his opponent becoming head of the country.
Fridays election was supposed to be the second round of voting for the two men, Mr Tsvangirai got more votes in the first round than his rival but it was not enough for him to be the clear winer! I know, very annoying!
Robert Mugabe has been in power since 1980
and is seen as a cruel man and a bad President.
The UK's foreign secretary David Milliband said "The stage was set for the most rigged election in African history. The failure is not of the opposition but of the goverment. Robert Mugabe and his thugs made an election immpossible."
Now the world is waiting to see what happens next in Zimbabwe. The United Nations and world leaders are hoping for a sudden change in Zimbabwe.
