Neighs, snorts, blows, squeals, sighs, and whinnies are all being studied by scientists to try to understand the feelings the horses are trying to convey.

Researchers are analysing the sounds horses make when they are in different situations that also make them feel different, or around certain people, to see if there is a pattern in the noises that they make!

Findings so far say that horses scream or screech loudly and in a high pitched tone when they are stressed just like us! And the whine in a middle pitched tone when they are calm and relaxed!

This information could help vets, horse owners, and animal handlers understand their horses more!

Do you think they should be doing these tests on the horses?
