Brilliant
The Launch was well. I think all the trainers liked it and thought it went better than it could have. Nothing could have gone better.
The first event of the night was the reporters from Phase 1 and 2 told us about their experiences through out the project. After this i was looking forward to my experiences that i would get out of this project.
Next it was one of our guest speakers called Rob Nothman, a radio 5 live speaker. He showed us that even professionals can get it wrong! He told us about his bad experiences and the funny things that have happened in sports journalism.
Then after this it was my group. We had to explain what a VoxPop was. We explained that it means voice of the people. Danelle and I showed how to do a VoxPop. We went round the guests and asked some questions. Some of them didn't answer very well or at all.
After this we edited it in front of everyone. All the adults were impressed with what we could do with the piece of work.
After this it was the live interview Earl Barrett. He answered all his questions with good and clear answers. This was a good thing as later on we showed what we could do with Audacity.
While there was a group at the back of the room editing the live interview there was a question and answer session. The guests could ask any question they liked. Some of the Supporter to reporters answered them. Everyone wanted to know what we thought of the project and how it could be improved.
Next up was Pledge-Sheet by Glyn, Katy and Orla. Glyn and Katy talked about the group and how we have grown in confidence. Then Orla read out her sheet and what she would like to see in the project and what are her highlights so far. She said very good advice to take every opportunity that comes, as sometimes you only get one chance.
After this it was time for Leon Taylor to talk to us about his Olympic dream. He told us about his silver medal and how in all the competions before he had always come 4th. He was also talking about his injuries and all the pain that he had been through. He talked about his operation and how he had to recover.
All the excitment was concluded by the S2R people showing us the interview that they had had with Earl Barrett. They showed that it hadn't taken them long to edit the interview. After it had been edited it was smoother and there wasn't many pauses.
The conclusion was when three people thanked the guests and thanked everyone for there help in the project.
Overall the night was good and it couldn't have gone better. None of the Phase three people can wait untill their next launch as they will know what they are doing and will not be the new ones.
