A review of Terry Pratchett's

The first words that pop into my head when I hear "Terry Pratchett" are magic, wonder, adventure and imagination. Truckers has all these, and then some more.

Most of Terry's stories are set in the weird but wonderful Discworld but Truckers is an exception,it is set here on earth. Fortunately this doesn't make the book boring and if anything, it adds more to the enjoyment of the book. You may be asking "How does it being set on boring old Earth add to the enjoyment of the book" and the answer to that is that all the characters are the size of your thumb. It lets you see the Earth from a different view and it is really clever and funny how the Nomes (The main characters) tackle everyday objects. An example of this is when they have to get to the top of a desk. I will let you use your imagination to figure out what happens but I can tell you that how they did it using everyday objects really made me laugh. The main setting is in "The Store" and once again, it is hilarious how they perceive things in the shops, for example, their calender revolves around when signs like"Summer Sale " get put up. The story is dramatic and the characters are interesting. There are 3 books in the series, Truckers, Diggers and Wings. Each of them are fantastic and I would highly recommend them to you.

The only bad point I can think about this book is that it's a bit short but there are three books in the series so you can forgive it that. Also, it is aimed at younger readers so don't be expecting something in depth, detailed and complicated.

I would give it:

9/10
