I have read this book loads of times and I can't get over how good it is!!!
The Lottie Project is about a girl called Charlie who starts a new year at school with a new teacher who, what she thinks, is evil. She makes her sit next to a COMPLETE nerd called Jamie. The new teacher makes them do a project about the Victorians and Charlie doesn't want to do a normal project so she chooses to do a diary in the point of view of a servant called Lottie. Charlie's mum suddenly looses her job so she takes to baby sitting a little boy called Robin. There is more drama when Charlie's mum falls in love with the little boys dad and Charlie hates him. Meanwhile at school Charlie finds herself making friends with Jamie. I like this book because of the comparison and contrast between the two different lives. My favourite character is Robin because even though he is so quiet he plays a big part in the book. The book is very good if you want to find out about Victorian live. I would reccommend this book to people who like historical and modern day stories.
