As part of British food fortnight we have started a ten pence taster session at break. Food technology students supported by Mrs McGowan and Ms Parkinson, have cooked up a treat for pupils. They have had chance to sample food from the four corners of the British Isles. On different days there were samples of food from Northern Ireland- Potato Cakes and Fifteens, Wales- Welsh Rarebit, Leek and Potato Soup, England- Cherry Bakewells and Crumpets, Scotland- Flapjacks, Shortbread and even Haggis! A fantastic exploration of the land in fifteen minutes of break. Thanks to all our chefs, sales people and happy customers!
