within the creative and media diploma, which i took for my year nine options there are three aspects from which you have to learn:
art, technology and ict ..
for my art homework i chose to visit the urbis museum in manchester. amongst a few exhibitions was that of matthew williamson which showed to us his background and several examples of clothing that he has designed and worked on in the past.
matthew williamson;;
matthew williamson was born in chorley manchester, england on october 23rd 1971. He studied in Manchester until he was 18, when he moved to London he attended Central Saint Martins College Of Art And Design he then graduated in 1994. In 2005 he started his own perfume range and in 2006 took over as creative director at pucci.
I really liked this exhibition because fashion is an area in which i would like to pursue a career when i am older. I find Matthew Williamson's work inspireing especially as he was born locally and is now known internationally proving that anybody acheive whatever they aspire to be. I liked the samples of clothes that were on display because they were unusual yet creative. I particulary liked the use of colours in his work, this made it stand out and look appealing to the eye. It also said alot about himself and how he worked as well as many celebrities and other designers he has worked with. This i found really helpfull as it gave me an insight into his many teqniques.
