This week (12th- 16th) is Whitchurch's Eco Week. As a school councillor, I have been trying my best to get my class to be as eco friendly as possible. My class, 6DM, has brought in lots of different materials to recycle for the fashion show!
I have had the idea of making a skirt out of carrier bags and making jewellery out of old beads and yogurt pots.
In music the whole of Year 6 have been making recycled music. If you do not know what in the world I am talking about then here’s the explanation: recycled art is when people sing a song or nursery rhyme that has been customised so, it has been recycled. My group redid the a,b,c song.
Of course you all saw the fashion show/cat walk – a great success – and on Monday we will see who the best 4 or more were, so cross your fingers for yourself or a friend. Most recommended to win: Ali Muhammad.
Now don't forget our eco-code – you all made really nice ones with lots of great info!
Well, I have really enjoyed this year’s Eco Week. Let’s see what next year brings!
