On Friday, 13 March 2009, St Mary’s R.C. Primary School. had a wacky hair day, where the children got to do their hair ‘wacky’ in aid of Comic Relief.
Here are what some of the pupils said;
”I thought today was an enjoyable day because I know that we are helping the less fortunate.”
“I thought today was a fun day because everyone had their hair in a funny fashion.”
“I thought today was a fun day, especially as we help the unfortunate.”
Here is what a teacher said;
”I think wacky hair day is fun and it’s amusing to see the kids looking hilarious.”
As well as wacky hair styles, the pupils had a chance to win a jokes competition. On Monday all of the winners from each class, will go head-to-head to win the final prize.
But everyone must remember that all the fun & games are to raise money for those in poorer countries, who are infected with the disease, Malaria which is caused by dirty water and infected mosquito bites. This causes devastation in a family every 30 seconds.
Also, the money goes to help Young Carers in this country who do not live a life like other children.
REMEMBER, YOUR POUND COUNTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
