The Free Hugs Campaign is a movement originally involving random people in city centres offering free hugs to the public! The campaign became famous internationally in 2006 as the result of a music video on YouTube with clips of the hug campaign. The hugs are meant to be random acts of kindness - selfless acts performed by a person for the sole reason of making others feel better!
The once small campaign has now evolved into the International Free Hugs Day - which is celebrated on the first Saturday of July :) in the case of 2009, July 4th. Unfortunately this is not on a school day, so i propose we move the day backward to Friday the 3rd of July!
I implore you, students of VCC, we must spread the word of free hug day! We can make it like a charity event or something :D Maybe it can be joined with an own clothes day as well to make it really significant? I have an interview tomorrow with Mr. Williams for senior prefect and I'll definitely suggest the free hug day idea to him!
I need suggestions and feedback on the idea people! :D Is this a good idea or am I delluded?
