I've always been curious about John Wilson's artwork which features figures apparently drawn by young children.
After a term of working with Scratch we collected lots of sprites of people, many for the Great Fire of London animations. You can export the sprites out of Scratch as gifs.
I took ten photos of the playground from the same spot, turning through 360 degrees. I matched them together the best I could in Photoshop (though could be done in Paint.net).
The figures were then added as transparent layers and resized to fit in with the perspective. The whole print is 121cm by 11cm so not worked out how to print it yet so made a photo story so the children have the chance to spot their drawings.
All drawings were made by Class's 4,5 & 6, that is Y2, Y1 and EYFS....a very creative group of children indeed!
Can you spot Michael Jackson as drawn by a Y6 pupil?
Oddly, I was thinking of adding him to the picture just as the death of Michael Jackson was announced on the radio.
