In the beginning, the Aztecs first made a cocao drink and this became popular in their empire and only the rich people drank it.
Then, the Spanish found out and killed the Aztecs and stole the cocao drink. This became a secret for a long time in Spain, but the French soon knew.
That was when the Spanish changed the drink to chocolate and chocolate was born! It was when the first advertisment appeared in the UK on TV about chocolate.
This made George and Richard Cadbury (two brothers) want to find out the recipe. So they kept trying to make the chocolate. They used 3 ingredients in their experiments to try and make it. They are: cocao butter, cocao beans and sugar. There was still something missing...
It never worked, they tried everything: changing temperature, adding more quantity of the ingredients. Then their secretary gave them refreshments, which was milk.
Richard Cadbury had started drinking his milk when George Cadbury solved their problem! There was half a glass left from Richard's glass and George still had a whole glass. So the two brothers added the milk and they made the PERFECT chocolate.
So nowadays they use a glass and a half full of milk to make one cadbury bar of chocolate!!!
The 4 ingredients to make chocolate: cocao beans, cocao butter, sugar and MILK!
