Well Son let me tell you something
Life for me hasn’t been a new road
A group of year 7s have been studying a poem by Langston Hughes. They then created their own poem using metaphors to explain life. Here is Kim's poem:
Road Poem
It has holes and bumps in it
And stones
And hills that go up and down
But all the time,
I have been walking on
And reaching lands
And turning cross roads
Sometimes in the dark
So Son don’t turn back
Don’t go back up that road
Although it’s hard to keep going
Don’t stop now
Keep on walking
Because life isn’t a new road
