In Grampian there is not many people. There is not much to do and little happens in the way of events. One of the few things that happens in the area is the Remembrance Sunday parades. With the exception of last year I have been attending them on a regular basis, year in year out. Most of the community turns out to march round the area and pay their respects. The route is different every year but it always stops outside the war memorial in Inverurie and finishes at the British Legion bar. The main parade consists of local groups in uniform marching in the center with everyone else at the side. There is a church ceremony every year but the church is small and most of the community can't attend. All the veterans of any war get priority, followed by the groups then the rest of the public. I greatly hope to get seated this year but as always you can't tell whats going to happen before the day. At 11 am everyone gathers at the war memorial to pay their respects. That is what will happen on Sunday and I greatly look forward to it. It seems its the only time of the year people spare a thought for the armed forces forces.
