On 23rd November me and bugsbunnyboy conducted an assembly to year sevens, informing them on the types of bullying and who to see if they see or are being bullied. We had a great response from the year group and we felt we interacted with them and had their full attention. One of there head of years said "Just to let you know that tinkerbell95 and bugsbunnyboy were excellent when they presented the assembly yesterday. They interacted with the students, brought humour into it and generally engaged them in what they had to say." The teacher sent this to our lead mentor who then replyed with Thank you, that will go towards their ASDAN award.
We had 4 volunteers that came up to the front to hold a sheet with a form of bullying on it and we asked what they thought it was and corrected them were needed.One boy said "i really did enjoy todays assembly as it was fun and very informative."
We are very happy with the response and around school we get called famous and smurfs... this is great becuase everyone knows who we are. We get called Smurfs because we wear blue hoodies which allows everyone to notice us.
